Watermelon Strawberry Smoothie
Summer’s ending, and we’re making the most of the last of our watermelon with this refreshing smoothie. As much as we love watermelon, there’s only so much we can eat before it starts getting a little too ripe, so this is one of my favourite ways to use it up before it goes bad. 🍉
The combination of juicy watermelon, frozen strawberries and creamy strawberry vanilla Greek yogurt makes the perfect smoothie. It’s naturally sweet, creamy and so easy to throw together for a quick breakfast or afternoon treat.
Add the chopped watermelon, frozen strawberries, strawberry vanilla Greek yogurt and almond milk or water to a high-powered blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy.
Check the consistency and add a little more almond milk or water if you prefer a thinner smoothie. If it’s too thin, add a few more frozen strawberries until you reach the consistency you like. Pour into glasses and enjoy right away. It’s an easy and delicious way to enjoy the last taste of summer! 🍓🍉
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 cup chopped seedless watermelon
• 1 cup frozen strawberries
• 1 cup strawberry vanilla Greek yogurt
• 1/3 cup almond milk or water
STEPS:
Add the watermelon, frozen strawberries, strawberry vanilla Greek yogurt and almond milk or water to a high-powered blender.
Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy.
Check the consistency. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more almond milk or water. If it’s too thin, add a few more frozen strawberries.
Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately!
Tip: This is a great way to use up extra watermelon before it gets overripe. I love keeping some frozen strawberries on hand so I can make this whenever we have more watermelon than we know what to do with. 🍉
