Taco Spaghetti Bake

Taco Spaghetti Bake is one of our favorite casseroles! Leftover taco meat is combined with seasoning, pasta sauce, spaghetti and topped with delicious cheeses. I like to bake this taco spaghetti casserole in the oven until it’s hot and bubbly- it is loaded with delicious flavours!

If you don’t have leftover taco meat on hand, dont worry! This casserole is easy to make, you just need to simply prepare the meat sauce, toss with spaghetti and bake until bubbly. I like to do the prep the night before, ie. on taco night! These are basically the 3 steps, in point form.

  1. Brown beef and seasons. Add tomato sauce and simmer.

  2. Stir in spaghetti and place in a dish.

  3. Top with cheese and bake!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 16 ounces spaghetti (cooked)

  • 1 & 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/3 cup of shredded fresh parmesan cheese

  • 32 ounces of pasta sauce

  • *1 pound of ground beef ie. leftover taco meat- if you don’t have cooked meat, you’ll simply need 1 pound ground beef and taco powder seasoning or the following ingredients To cook your meat with:

  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

STEPS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. Brown the meat - either using your taco seasoning or garlic powder and salt over medium heat, making sure to break up the meat very well. Be sure to drain the fat.

  3. Add pasta sauce and Italian seasoning and to the meat. Simmer 5-10 minutes uncovered. Stir in the cooked spaghetti.

  4. Spread everything into a 9x13 pan, top with cheeses and bake 30 minutes or until hot and cheese is browned and bubbly. Cut into squares, as you would lasagna, and serve.

  5. Bon appétit!
