INGREDIENTS (for 4 rolls):
4 slices of soft bread
4 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
4 tablespoons of Nutella
1 large egg/ 4 tablespoons of egg whites
2 tablespoons of milk
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of butter (for the pan
*Egg Mixture: in a small bowl, whisk together the egg/egg whites, milk & vanilla
STEPS:
Flatten the bread: if you’re like me and can’t find your rolling pin, either use your hands to flatten each slice of bread or hit them with the bottom of a pan until they’re thin! Cut off the crusts.
Spread a layer of peanut butter on the bottom half of each slice of bread, and then spread Nutella on the top half of each slice. Roll tightly starting from the peanut butter filled end. Set aside, seam side down.
Dip each roll into the egg mixture, coating all sides but not soaking them too long.
Heat the butter in a nonstick pan over medium low heat.
Place the rolls seam side down and cook until golden brown on all sides (1-2 minutes per side).
Top with some of the sugar cinnamon mixture. Drizzle with hot Nutella and/or peanut butter.
Voilà! Bon appétit!
