This is one of those treats that comes together because someone you love is craving it. My daughter had this on her mind, and once we made it, we understood why. These little cups feel indulgent but still fresh, sweet without being heavy, and just fun to make together in the kitchen. They’re inspired by those Dubai style dessert cups everyone’s talking about, but made with easy to find ingredients and a whole lot of love.
Juicy strawberries bring brightness and balance, while the pistachio spread adds that rich, nutty flavour that makes this feel extra special. The shredded wheat stands in perfectly for kataifi, giving you that subtle crunch, and the melted chocolate ties it all together into something that feels fancy but totally doable on a regular day. No baking, no stress, just layers of goodness.
This is the kind of dessert you make on a whim, spoon straight from the cup, maybe standing at the counter with your kids sneaking extra chocolate. Give my recipe a try, it’s simple, comforting, and honestly.. amazing!
INGREDIENTS:
Fresh strawberries
Chocolate chips or chocolate wafers
Pistachio spread
Shredded wheat cereal or Shreddies, finely chopped
STEPS:
Wash and finely chop the strawberries. Set aside.
Crush the shredded wheat cereal into small pieces using your hands or a knife. You want some texture, not just crumbs.
In a bowl, mix the chopped shredded wheat with the pistachio spread until everything is well coated and sticky.
Melt the chocolate gently in the microwave or over a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
To assemble, spoon a layer of chopped strawberries into the bottom of a cup. Add a layer of the pistachio shredded wheat mixture, then drizzle or spoon over melted chocolate. Repeat the layers until the cup is full, finishing with chocolate on top.
Bon appétit! Enjoy!
