I love these new food trends that are constantly popping up. Here’s my version of the Viral Strawberry Bark. As soon as I saw this trend pop up, I had to make it. I mean, it’s such a fun twist on chocolate covered strawberries, and we love those here! I know the trending version has peanut butter in it, and while I do love peanut butter and use it in my date bark, I don’t love it with the strawberries.
My Chocolatey Strawberry Oreo Bark is so easy, so delish, and really pretty! I like making it with dark chocolate, it really ties in the flavours nicely. You have to make this, I’m obsessed and already need to make more!
The best part about this is because it’s made with fruit and chocolate, I say we can enjoy them as a snack, not just a dessert. After all, strawberries are jam packed with nutrients, antioxidants & vitamin C, so shouldn’t we just categorize this as a superfood sweet treat? Who’s with me? ;)
To add a tasty crunch, I topped my bark with crushed Oreos. This is just such a perfect little fruity dessert.
Make this Viral Strawberry Bark and let me know in the comment section or on Instagram if you love it as much as I do!
INGREDIENTS:
12-14 strawberries, thinly sliced
1 chocolate bar (I used Mr. Beast’s Feastables Dark Chocolate 60g)
Crushed Oreos, to sprinkle on top, optional
STEPS:
Slice the strawberries thinly, then arrange them in rows/columns closely together on a silicone-lined baking sheet (or parchment paper on any flat serving dish),
Drizzle the melted chocolate (I heated my broken up dark chocolate bar pieces in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, each time giving it a quick stir) over top each piece of bark.
Sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top of the chocolate drizzle, then freeze for about an hour.
Remove from freezer and keep it out at room temperature for a few minutes so the strawberries can soften a bit, it’s much more enjoyable this way!
Enjoy!
