Cheesy Pull-Apart Biscuit Wreath
If you’re looking for an easy, crowd-pleasing holiday appetizer, this Cheesy Pizza Biscuit Wreath is such a fun addition to your Christmas table! Made with refrigerated biscuits stuffed with marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella and creamy mini bocconcini, each bite is filled with delicious pizza-inspired flavours.
The biscuits are separated into layers, filled with cheese and marinara, then rolled into little dough balls and arranged in a Bundt pan to create a beautiful wreath shape. Before baking, they’re brushed with melted butter mixed with Italian seasoning, giving them a golden, flavourful finish.
The best part is the presentation! Once baked, I decorated the wreath with fresh rosemary sprigs to give it a festive Christmas look. It’s perfect for holiday gatherings, Christmas parties, family get-togethers or anytime you want an appetizer that looks as good as it tastes. Serve it warm while the cheese is still gooey, with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping. Give my recipe a try!
INGREDIENTS:
1 can of refrigerated flaky biscuits (pillsbury)
1/2 cup of marinara sauce
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
12 mini bocconcini, cut in half
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, plus extra for the butter
3 tablespoons of butter, melted
Fresh rosemary sprigs, for decorating
STEPS:
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, combine the marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella, mini bocconcini, olive oil and Italian seasoning.
Separate each biscuit into two thinner layers. Gently stretch each piece of dough to make it large enough to hold the filling.
Spoon a little of the cheese and marinara mixture into the centre of each piece of dough. Bring the edges together, pinch to seal completely, and gently roll into a ball.
Lightly spray a Bundt cake pan with cooking spray. Arrange the stuffed biscuit balls around the pan, placing them beside one another to create a wreath shape.
Mix the melted butter with additional Italian seasoning. Brush the seasoned butter generously over the tops of the biscuit balls.
Bake at 350°F for approximately 15 minutes, until the biscuits are cooked through and lightly golden. Switch your oven to high broil for an additional 3 minutes to give the top a beautiful golden finish. Keep a close eye on them while broiling.
Allow the wreath to rest briefly before carefully removing it from the pan. Arrange fresh rosemary sprigs around the wreath to create a festive holiday presentation.
Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping!
Bon appétit! Enjoy!
Tips for Making the Perfect Pizza Biscuit Wreath:
Seal the dough well: Make sure the edges are pinched together so the cheese stays inside while baking.
Don’t overfill: A little filling goes a long way and makes the dough easier to seal.
Grease your Bundt pan: This helps prevent sticking and makes removing the wreath easier.
Watch the broiler: Every oven is different, so keep a close eye on the wreath during those final few minutes.
Make it festive: Fresh rosemary is a simple way to transform this cheesy appetizer into a beautiful festive wreath.
