There’s something about the combination of sweet, tangy, spicy, and salty that keeps me coming back for more, and this Chamoy Mango Ribbons recipe is the perfect example. Instead of cutting the mango into cubes or slices, I use a vegetable peeler to create long, delicate ribbons that soak up every bit of chamoy, Tajín, and fresh lime juice.
Not only does it look beautiful, but peeling the mango into ribbons gives it a softer texture that makes every bite even more delicious. It feels like a fun little twist on a classic fruit snack and comes together in just a few minutes.
The best part? This isn’t just a mango recipe, it’s become my favorite way to enjoy almost any fruit or vegetable. Raspberries, kiwi, watermelon, cucumbers, sour green plums…if it’s fresh, there’s a good chance I’m reaching for the chamoy, Tajín, and a squeeze of lime!
Sweet mango ribbons coated in chamoy, Tajín, and fresh lime create the perfect balance of flavours that keeps every bite exciting. It’s fresh, vibrant, and incredibly easy to make. Give my recipe a try, and don’t be surprised if this spicy-sweet combination becomes your new favorite way to enjoy fruit and vegetables too!
INGREDIENTS:
1 ripe mango
1–2 tablespoons chamoy
1 teaspoon Tajín seasoning or more to taste
Juice of a fresh lime
STEPS:
Peel the mango and continue using the vegetable peeler to create long mango ribbons until you reach the pit.
Arrange the ribbons on a plate or in a bowl.
Drizzle generously with chamoy.
Sprinkle with Tajín.
Finish with freshly squeezed lime juice.
Bon appétit! Enjoy (immediately)!
