Candied Bacon Cheese Crackers (Air Fryer Holiday Bite)

Everyone’s sharing versions of caramelized Christmas crack right now, but after a full day of sweet treats in the staff room (thanks to our amazing parent council 💛💚), I found myself craving something salty, savoury, and just a little bold. Then I spotted a pack of bacon in the fridge… and remembered the six lonely sleeves of saltines no one seems to touch. That’s when this little experiment happened, and honestly? It turned into the ultimate palate teaser.

These candied bacon cheese crackers hit every note: sweet, salty, cheesy, and slightly spicy. They’re outrageously delicious and ridiculously simple. No mixing bowls. No fuss. Just layer, sprinkle, and air fry.

Ready in under 30 minutes, these are a total game-changer for the holidays. They disappear the second they hit the table, perfect for entertaining, casual snacking, or nibbling while the mulled wine simmers on the stove.

If you’re looking for an easy holiday appetizer or a next-level snack that feels indulgent without the effort, this one’s about to become a staple. Give my recipe a try, you’ll fall in love!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 16 saltine crackers

  • Boursin cheese

  • 3–4 strips bacon, cut to fit crackers

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • Everything bagel seasoning and/or steak seasoning (optional)

  • Blue cheese (optional, but fabulous)

STEPS:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 280°F.

  2. Spread a layer of Boursin on each cracker.

  3. Top each cracker with a slice of bacon.

  4. Sprinkle with seasoning and a pinch of brown sugar.

  5. Finish with a little crumble of blue cheese, if using.

  6. Air fry for about 25 minutes, or until the bacon is caramelized and crisp.

  7. Cool slightly, then serve warm; or devour straight from the tray, but be careful not to burn the food of your mouth (I speak from experience!)

  8. Bon appétit! Enjoy!
