Air Fryer Roasted Garlic

Updated: Jan 22

I love garlic, especially roasted garlic. I used to roast garlic in the oven, but now I love roasting garlic (and many other veggies) in my air fryer! It’s quick, easy, and mess-free. It’s super fast compared to the oven and it's beyond easy to make as all you have to do is place it in the air fryer and the air fryer does the rest of the work.

Roasting garlic in the air fryer is an easy way to add flavor to so many dishes. Once roasted, the cloves pop right out and are as smoothe & soft as butter. You can spread it on crusty breads and make your own garlic toast, or add it to various dishes. Try my recipe, it's super easy and tasty!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 head of garlic

  • 1 teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • aluminum foil

STEPS:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 392 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  2. Cut off the top of the head of garlic.

  3. Place the head of garlic on a small piece of aluminum foil, make sure it's big enough to wrap loosely around the head of garlic.

  4. Bring the foil up and around garlic, forming a cup shape.

  5. Pour the olive oil on top of the garlic head and season with salt and pepper.

  6. Close the ends of the foil over garlic, like a pouch.

  7. Air fry until the garlic is soft- for the smaller garlic heads like the one I've used here, it took 18 minutes.

  8. Let it sit for an additional 5 minutes before opening the foil pouch. Do this carefully, as the steam is quite hot.

  9. Squeeze the cloves out and voilà!

  10. I add this them to roasted veggies, pasta sauces, dips and sometimes I'll just eat it straight out of the bulbs!

  11. Bon appétit!
