Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs
These Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs are the cutest little Halloween treat! Made with hot dogs and flaky crescent roll dough, they’re an easy Halloween recipe that comes together quickly in the air fryer. The crescent roll “bandages” bake up golden and flaky while the hot dogs get warm and juicy, making these Halloween hot dogs as delicious as they are fun.
This is one of those recipes that is almost more fun to make than it is to eat. They’re perfect for a Halloween party, a spooky movie night, a fun lunch, or an easy October dinner when you want something festive without spending hours in the kitchen.
I love how just a few simple ingredients can turn an everyday hot dog into such a fun Halloween appetizer. And because they’re made in the air fryer, they come together quickly with hardly any mess. You can make the mummy wraps as neat or as messy as you like. Honestly, the messier they are, the more adorable they look!
Give my Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs a try this Halloween. They’re festive, delicious and guaranteed to bring a little spooky fun to the table! 👻🌭
INGREDIENTS:
• 8 hot dogs
• 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
• Edible candy eyeballs
STEPS:
1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). If your air fryer tends to run hot.
2. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut each triangle into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.
Don’t worry about making every strip perfectly even. In fact, the uneven strips make the mummies look even better!
3. Take one hot dog and wrap it with the crescent roll strips, leaving a small space near the top for the mummy’s face.
4. Place the mummy hot dogs in the air fryer basket, making sure they aren’t touching too much so the crescent dough has room to cook. Air fry for about 8 minutes or until the crescent dough is puffed and golden brown. Keep an eye on them toward the end because air fryers can vary.
5. Carefully remove the mummy hot dogs from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Once they’re cool enough to handle, add two edible candy eyeballs to each mummy. (If the eyeballs aren’t sticking, use a tiny dab of ketchup or mustard to help hold them in place.)
Bon appétit! Enjoy!
